# clsNonEmployerAccount

`clsNonEmployerAccount` represents a non-employer account (address/contact) record, keyed by
account number, retrieved via inline Oracle SQL against `NON_EMPR_ACCT`
([SQL-VP-032](../../sql/SQL-032-non_empr_acct.md)).

## Purpose
- Retrieves a non-employer account address/contact record by account number via [SQL-VP-032](../../sql/SQL-032-non_empr_acct.md).
- Enforces that the account number must be non-zero to be considered valid ([BR-VP-014](../../business-rules.md#br-vp-014-non-employer-account-number-must-be-non-zero)).

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Business.View.Policy`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Business.View.Policy` (embedded library reference)

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `GetNonEmployerAccount` | `Shared Function GetNonEmployerAccount(DPI As IDataPortalInfo, AccountNumber As Decimal) As clsNonEmployerAccount` | Retrieves a non-employer account record by account number. |
| `AccountNumber` | `Property AccountNumber As Decimal` | The non-employer account number; must be non-zero to be valid. |
| `AccountName` | `ReadOnly Property AccountName As String` | The account name. |

## Inherited public members

Members in this section are inherited from `clsBusinessBase` in `saif.framework.core`. They are
available on this type through inheritance.

| Member | Signature | Purpose | Origin |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `Rules` | `Property Rules As clsRulesManager` | Owns the rule-registration/enforcement engine used to evaluate `IsValidAccountNumber`.† | `saif.framework.core` — `clsBusinessBase` |
| `Error` (via `IDataErrorInfo`) | `ReadOnly Property Error As String` | Surfaces broken-rule state to data-bound UI controls.† | `saif.framework.core` — `clsBusinessBase` |

## Behavioral notes
- `AddBusinessRules` registers `IsValidAccountNumber` against the `AccountNumber` property; when `AccountNumber = 0`, `IsValid` becomes `False`.

## Constraints and usage notes
- None beyond the standard business-object retrieval lifecycle.

> **Note:** Statements marked with `†` are derived from dependency library
> documentation via the Legends CLI. Statements marked with `*` were inferred
> from code structure or contextual evidence. Statements marked with `**` could
> not be confirmed; treat as unknown until verified.
